Wireless thermostat head

6 up to 30 °C

serves for adjusting valves on radiators. It receives commands via radio signal from the pertaining control unit, either alone or together with other valve drives. The actuator converts these commands in the corresponding settings on the valve. The radio controlled radiator thermostat system serves for controlling the temperature in individual rooms.

The actuator is the right product when it comes to heating control. As soon as it receives a signal from the FHZ 1000 or the FHT 80B wireless thermostat, the easy-to-install actuator turns the thermostat valve automatically for you. Thanks to the intelligent interaction between the FHZ 1000 and up to 8 actuators per room, you can always adjust your favourite temperature and thus conveniently save on heating costs!

Regulation of the heat transmitted by the radiator takes place by reducing the flow of the heating water. Operation is only possible with the pertaining control unit (all information relating to the overall system are contained in the operating manual of the complete system).

Rated 3 out of 5 by Can't find an adaptor The actuator looks good and a friend of mine has 8 around his house which work well. However he bought them from another company who obviously know the British market because they came with adapters for common British thermostatic valves. The adapters supplied with the actuator by Conrad don't fit my valves (or my friend's) So, I bought an additional metal 28mm adaptor from Conrad which is the right thread size for my valves but it doesn't fit either because the internal bore of the adaptor is too small to fit over the hexagon part of the thermostatic valve. In short I'm sure they will be good if I ever find an adaptor to fit my valves but Conrad don't seem to supply such a thing. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Rated average because I know they work but I can't get them to fit. 14 March 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by FS Heating controls This is part of Remote control system Conrad FS20. Due to the eccentric way the web site is written you need to note all the product codes that you are interested in to ever be able to find them again as book marking the page does not work the next day. If you are looking for central heating controls you should look at the following items. 570056, 620347, 617500 (570056 and 620347 combined), 646463, 570855, 560098. Look at Downloadable documents for the pdf instructions. I expect that you will want to save them somewhere to refer back to. I suspect these have been translated from German and so could be clearer. I found that they needed a lot of rereading. The items mentioned work well and I am very pleased with them, but do not expect to get technical help. 570056 (valve actuator) works well with radio contact to its thermostat. It does make a motor noise when adjusting the valve setting but I do not mind as it indicates that the system is doing its job. It comes with a number of fittings which may connect it with non standard radiator valves. It does seem to fit new thermostats without additional parts in our house, but I mostly had old Drayton thermostats (TRV3?) on the radiators and needed to buy part 572125 to be able to fit the actuator to the valve thread. The thermostat calculates from the current to the desired temperature how much the valve should be open percentage wise and the value is displayed on the actuator mini window. 17 July 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by An effective valve actuator I have a few of these around the house and they all seem quite happy whirring away when called upon to do so. Their noise is not excessive and soon blends into the background. They are quick and simple to fit to the two different types of TRV valve body that I have. However . . . When playing with one of these actuators on an uninstalled valve body, I noticed that the valve was partially closed by the (fully opened manually) actuator as it was screwed on. I tried this on a few other valve bodies with the same result. This would presumably reduce the flow of water through the valve unnecessarily. So I measured the partial closure and made a circular shim to fit inside the actuator's fixing nut. Now all my valves have been shimmed as needed and all seem to be working correctly. It seems to me that if the actuators are fitted without shimming, they will still work but possibly with a slightly reduced (and probably unnoticed) flow rate. All in all, highly recomended. 21 April 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by wireless actuator The description of the article is very accurate and the actuator is easy to programme. 25 January 2012
